Getting Started
How do I add a credit card?
Tap the + button in the top right of the Cards tab. Search for your card by name or issuer, then tap to add it. Perq will automatically load the card's cashback rates and benefits.
Does Perq connect to my bank or card accounts?
No. Perq never connects to your financial accounts. You add cards manually and all data is stored locally on your device. No login, no syncing, no servers.
How do I delete a card?
On the Cards tab, swipe left on any card to reveal the Delete button. Tap Delete and confirm. This removes the card and all its benefit tracking data.
Location & Notifications
What does Perq use my location for?
Perq detects what type of place you're near — a grocery store, restaurant, gas station — and tells you which of your cards earns the most there. Your location is processed entirely on-device and is never sent to any server.
How do I refresh my location?
On the Cards tab, pull the screen down to refresh. Perq checks where you are and updates the card recommendation for your current location.
How do I turn off location access?
Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Perq and select Never. Perq will still work fully — you just won't get location-based tips.
Benefits & Rewards
How do I track how much of a benefit I've used?
Tap any card to open the Card Detail view, then tap a benefit to log usage. The Reminders tab shows a progress bar for every benefit across all your cards.
What's the difference between Travel and Travel via Portal?
Travel covers bookings made directly with airlines, hotels, or rental car companies. Travel via Portal covers bookings made through your card's dedicated travel portal (e.g. Chase Travel, Capital One Travel) — these often earn a higher rate but only through that specific portal.
How do I reset all my data?
Go to the Settings tab → Data → Reset All Data. This permanently removes all cards and benefit history from your device. This cannot be undone.
Privacy & Data
What data does Perq collect?
None. All card and benefit data is stored only on your device. Perq has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If I delete the app, is my data gone?
Yes. Deleting Perq removes all locally stored data permanently.
