  The short version: Perq stores all your card and benefit data locally on your device. We never collect, transmit, or share your personal or financial information. No accounts. No servers. No tracking.

What Perq Does

Perq is a personal finance utility that helps you track credit card rewards, benefits, and annual fees. It suggests the best card to use based on your location and spending category.

Data We Collect

Perq does not collect any data from you. All information you enter — your cards, benefits, and usage history — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage framework (SwiftData). This data never leaves your device.

Location Data

Perq requests access to your device's location to provide smart card recommendations when you are near stores or restaurants. Specifically:

Location is used solely to identify the type of place you are visiting (e.g., grocery store, gas station, restaurant) so Perq can suggest which card earns the most rewards there.
Your location is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server or third party.
Location is only accessed while the app is open — when the app loads and when you pull to refresh on the Cards tab. Perq never tracks your location in the background.
You can revoke location access at any time in Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Perq.

Data We Do Not Collect

Perq does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, device ID)
Financial account numbers, card numbers, or login credentials
Purchase history or transaction data
Location history or location logs
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
Any data that leaves your device

Third-Party Services

Perq does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services. We do not use SDKs from Google, Facebook, or any other platform that may collect data independently.

Data Sharing

We share no data with any third party — because we do not collect any data to share.

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored on your device for as long as you have Perq installed. You can delete all data at any time via Settings → Data → Reset All Data inside the app. Deleting the app from your device also removes all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Perq does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app does not require an account or any personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Perq after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
